Try these awesome Summer Party Ideas

So yesterday was my little sisters birthday party. Some of her close friends came over and surprised her. It was so fun. Today I’d like to share with you some summer party ideas for you to get inspired and make one yourself. So here are some ideas:

• String Decoration

While we were getting everything ready for the party, we had snacks and drinks, but there wasn’t much color. So we got some colorful paper strings to hang them outside, on the stairs and on the chandelier. It added the touch of color the party needed.

• Summer Party Jello Shots

I had seen jello shots on lots of parties, and they were so yummy and fun. I bought some little colorful shot glasses and filled them with jello. You could add alcohol, but we didn’t. They were such cute summery snacks which were also delicious.

• Flamingo Straws

I didn’t know if I should share this with you, but they were so cute and they added such a cute touch to the summer party drinks. I saw these straws at Walmart for a dollar. They were too cute and cheap for me to pass them out. You could probably find a tutorial on how to make these.

• Fun Activities

For them to be entertained, we bought silly string and balloons. Since we don’t have a pool, we filled the balloons with water so they could get wet in the hot weather. By the way, I recommend buying the bigger balloons instead of the small ones. It’s a lot more fun and you get much more wet, which is always a good thing in the summer.

I think it’s a better idea using the silly string first, so you can wash it off later with the water of the balloons. These are definitely a great summer party idea. I couldn’t get a picture of the balloons filled with water because they went crazy with them.

• Summer Party Photo shoot

We also found in Walmart these props for a dollar to take fun pictures. These are also very easy to recreate. You could cut shapes out of cardboard and paste them on a stick or straw. This was really fun too.

• Most Important Thing – Cake

And of course, you can never forget the cake. We bought her a cake from our local bakery and put lots of candles, and one which lit up like a firework. The cake is like the cherry on top, you can’t not have it.
